Apparently I can't edit my old post?? Um, I'm pretty sure my ipad can't tell the difference between pianissimo and meza forte, either that or im completely deaf. This piano doesn't really sustain quite a few bass notes when I half pedal so it might sound like staccato sometimes :/ I'm pretty sure thats why over pedaled in my other recording.Of course no matter how hard I try, I'll still have a few mistakes here and there :/ but yeah hope its a little better...
Sigh...acoustic pianos are so tough...
@chopinlover
Yeah, I'd love to skype. Just send me your info!

There is some serious potential here! Perhaps try pedaling the bass notes a bit more to connect the melodies?
BTW, have you considered "upgrading" your recording setup?
-
Yeah I'm thinking about it, need to get the funds for it first! Kind of annoying that my ipad can't really capture dynamics properly but eh it's ok, not a professional, just trying to get advice/suggestions.
What's even more annoying is the quality of pianos in my school. Literally every practice room I'm assigned to has a badly maintained piano. :(

Send me a PM! You don't need to spend very much $ if you know what to do and where to do it!! I spent ~$80 total on my recording stuff. It's not perfect but it's sure better than that iPad XD

Very well done.
Now I know that acoustic you're using sounds like hell, I would have recommended trying to produce a more resounding "bell" sound with your chords, as that's what the piece is about, but on a piano like that, yeah that's not going to happen.
If you do ever manage to migrate to a better piano, would love to hear those bells sing in true form!
Grats.

Kind words. :) Means a lot to me, thanks!

This is definitely better than your last recording. I do miss those overdrawn closing chords though. Perhaps I will steal them if you don't mind.
I do hope we will be able to hear this again but on a much better piano.
Bravo

thanks for listening to my recordings distant, I appreciate it and the kind comments too of course!

Much better. Will send my info for Skype shortly.
The main thing I would work on is your touch, especially for playing the stuff in your sig. That way, you can make sections really contrast from the bold "bell like" chords in the recap (around 3:15 or so is IMO when it should really die down for contrast).
Your playing here is quite good. Would love to hear some other "completed" pieces!
