How do you think? Suggestions are welcome! I performed this at a recent recital but I know I still need to improve on some parts. Thanks!

I guess it's still improvable but very nice nonetheless. Congrats!

I would suggest that you play with less pedal because:
1: It will help with the left hand pizzicato like a viola or violin accompaniment.
2: Because of the speed that this is played at and the fact that it is chromatic playing with less pedal will allow for a clearer sound and keep the chromatic scales from getting muddy.
That's all. It could be the pedal or it could be the halls reverberation or it could be the recording device. Congrats on playing this difficult etude.

Alright, so it's not Luja Wang. You got through it in front of an audience at a moderate speed. I say more power to you! I would NEVER ever play this etude or the thirds in front of an audience. But given the fact that you did, and didn't lose a whole lot of notes, you could make it more musically appealing by adding some dynamics. Big big crescendo and diminuendos, etc. But i say bravo.

Good effort. it's a difficult piece.

Thanks for all of the friendly comments and suggestions!
Yeah, I know, I should probably take the pedal away for the pizzicato effect but I strangely like it? But thanks, distant.

Damned decent performance.
That said, I'd play the thing nearly senza pedale. Just enough to connected things a little, but practice it with your foot under the pedal, so you can't go to it by force of habit!
Cheers~

That's no problem. Mayhaps try it with only half or quarter pedal and see if that fits the needs of the etude and the needs of your taste.
