I have an old Roland digital stage piano (2002) which has served me, my pupils and family well. Unfortunately the other day a child pushed a coin under the felt at the top of the keys and it slipped down inside the keyboard. Luckily it still works but it now plays as though the sustain pedal is on. I want to take the casing apart to remove the coin but don't want to do further damage so wondered if anyone else has done this before and can advise me. Thanks.

I once took the casing off an even older digital to replace a fuse in it that had fried after a lightning strike. I rather doubt that there'd be any harm in opening it up and lifting out a penny. You could e-mail Roland and ask, remembering that any answer they give you will likely be hedged by fear of liability if you open it up with the power on and get zapped.
