Title: Minor thirds double note passages (don Juan or Chopin g #minor etc)
Post by: diomedes on October 13, 2017, 03:37:07 PM
I'm finding big scales in thirds going down to be much easier than ascending. I believe when I was doing the Busoni arrangement of campanella he had an ascending thirds passage where he took some notes out. I played it long ago so I can't determine if it was an actual simplification.

Anyone with experience on this or some ideas on removing notes going up?

I think it's better to figure out the technique and do it properly instead.
