The Czerny video was very interesting. It's amazing how much traction Wim Winters is getting though. He seems to have a lot of fans. I don't get it though. The evidence in favour of his thesis just seems so flimsy.

You have certainly motivated me, and maybe other students, to go to Mr. Winters' site, and study what he is trying to say.  I would not have thought to do so otherwise.  If someone is to examine a refutation, then one must first study what is being refuted.  I don't know, however, whether I have the time to study what he is presenting, as you seem to be suggesting.
Is there a reason why students should go look at this man's ideas?

Like, as a student, usually I go after what I can use.  Is there something of use for us in those ideas, or consideration of them?

No... I mean, it's the same theory as to why I have never seen the movie 'American Pie' or any of the sequels...

There are better things to do with my time.

The tables have turned!
Bachscholar made such a horrendously bad video, that I had to half defend the double beat ( not the idea, but the people).
It's important to not be a partisan hack, and to ignore the vad things your own side is doing.

Maybe keypeg will realise that it's not against Wim, but the misinformation, these videos are made.

I never thought it was.  However, in order for us to understand what you are saying, we first have to study Wim - which is not what I think you are after.  My teacher's discussion with us about this some time back was rather short.  We expanded into music as a whole, and did not take that much time studying W's material.  I have plenty of learning material so I just don't go there. But if there is misinformation and students are taken in by it, I see your reason for doing this.  Are your own students getting pulled in, btw?

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have much faith in BachScholar as a pianist (or as a person) either. He was the one that tried to see himself as an editor but really took other peoples PDF's or scans, and trimmed the margins.

The guys a hack.
