This is a devilishly inferiuraratingly difficult Lisztian Arrangement of “my favorite things “from sound of music by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Stephen hough made four Broadway paraphrases but this is the only one that I play. It takes a lot of work and it is very difficult to memorize. Not specifically Christmas but close enough. Hope you all find a Fazioli under the tree.

Your description of ‘devilish’ is an understatement. Mesmerizing performance even though I find the arrangement a little overblown (but that’s just my preference). Exceptionally well done 😊

That’s a great job! I’ve tried playing that before and know how tricky it is! Very enjoyable. Thank you

That would take me forever to memorize. That's a pretty good feat on your part!
I'd never even heard of Stephen Hough, but he ended the piece with a nice little set of changes.
Nice!

haha yes it is quite over the top. but the chance to play this infamous tune, on the stage, is too good to pass up. the idea is a brilliant one and hopefully somebody else will take him up on it, and arrange more broadway in the Lisztian style.

Fantastic playing of this challenging arrangement. You made it sound fluid and effortless.
