Title: Rachmaninoff - Barcarolle (Op. 10, No. 3)
Post by: mc_86420 on June 11, 2021, 07:41:05 PM
A great piece with an elegant LH melody paired with a simple barcarolle-style RH that transitions into sparkling runs of 16th notes, concluding with a classic witty Rachmaninoff ending. Enjoy!

Very nice! Awesome playing.

If anything, I think you could reflect on the tempo changes (Moderato-con moto-presto etc). Would it be possible to make the difference greater?
Also, there are a some ppp-markings which you don't do (e.g. in the first con moto-bit, where it would be nice as a contrast to the preceding and following forte)

I also didn't know this piece before, sounds very nice, some sections remind me of the fourth moment musical if the parts for each hands were inverted.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I agree there could be greater contrasts...

Just listened to the 4th moment musical for the first time... wow, what a piece

I know it’s hard to play really quiet in some sections. Nice job though! This piece was also new to me and now I’m exploring all of op 10. It’s a lovely set.

The beginning section was surprisingly difficult to play soft...
