here is a video of the seven movement nutcracker suite, arranged by Mikhail Pletnev I think in 1978 for the Tchaikovsky competition. i had learned a few movements over the years and finally just did the whole thing since i have the time.
this performance is not note perfect and i would be genuinely curious, does the occasional wrong notes bother the listener. because if so i may just do it again at some point and toss this one out.
you can go on youtube and watch Pletnev play three movements in 1978, it's live in front of audience and he plays fist fulls of wrong ntoes! i love it.

I really enjoyed this and no, I didn't find the wrong notes damaging to the overall effect.
