Title: Orlando Gibbons - Fantasy for Four Voices (Fantazia of Foure Parts)
Post by: retiredcellist on February 14, 2025, 06:15:57 PM
I have the unfingered sheet music for this piece, but being a neophyte it would take hours to figure out good fingerings.  Is there a fingered copy available? Or, would a more advanced player be willing to write in a complete set of fingerings for a fee? It is # II in this volume: https://s9.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/a/a6/IMSLP17610-Keyboard_Works_V.pdf

I could be wrong, but I think Gibbons wrote multiple fantasies. It would be helpful if you'd post the score of the piece you are talking about, the only one I find on IMSLP is a partial, handwritten manuscript.

Thanks. Hardly a neophyte piece, is it? It's as complex as lots of the fugues from Bach's WTC. I'm sorry I don't have time to figure out fingerings, maybe someone else will volunteer, though. Good luck; it's a great piece.
