Chopin Waltz in E flat Major

My son played this piece at 9 years old.

I feel like it lacked the virtuoso aspect of the piece. He should try to have more energy when he plays :)

I agree with this. Slight variation in tempo and more concentration on dynamics would be nice. The second section was nice, I preferred it to the first section.

I feel like people just want to be critics for the sake of being critics. In 10 years hell be better than all of us combined.

Your comment is pointless and invalid. Why would the OP post something in a forum if they didn't want comments, if it sucks, it doesn't matter what age somebody is, if they have no damn hands and play to their hearts content if it's not good or lacking somewhere i'll tell them.

I also hardly think that an average performance at this age is confirmation they will be the next Rubinstein (no offense to the OP or performer here), many children that play piano grow up to do something totally different as a career.

I just thought it was funny that so many people in this board get ignored but when a kid pops up all the experts come out of nowhere to nitpick his performance. No one cares about other kids sucking, this one clearly doesn't. It was fine but some people felt compelled to say:

"lol needs more virtouso"

yeah great advice there buddy. Any jackass (quoting brahms) could say that.
