Ok. Here is one.

The soloist must make sure the conductor leaves at an attainable tempo before the soloist comes in with the octaves, which is expected to be faster than the orchestra.

Otherwise? Well we saw what happened.

George great job and congrats on the competition win. The octave passage hakki kept nagging about was a problem, but the problem wasn't your playing it was that there was a timing problem between you and the conductor. But other than that it was a great performance especially the strong ending. (btw good luck with the Gina Bachuer competition)

Firstly, get rid of the orchestra member who couldn't play his/her intro (0.53) :p

Very good playing, but the octaves hakki was complaining about sound somewhat cautious. There seems to be quite a lot of vertical movement in your hand; keeping the hand close to the surface facilitates velocity (as I'm sure you're aware). The description of Liszt "shaking octaves out of the wrist" always comes to mind.

Basically Denis Matsuev had been rehearsing Gershwin Rhapsody in blue and the keys were really f*ckin Sweaty. It was literally like ice skating

No need to deceive oneself. Play the octaves at  126 per four notes. That's it.

I think there are plenty pianists who take those double octaves a mite slower, and/or miss some notes. It's nothing to be ashamed of or apologize for. Ideally, they should be faster and cleaner but I did not hear anything 'inferior'. It seems a bit unfair to lambast this incredibly talented performance because of it.
