Sloppily copied...
Quote from: Bob on October 05, 2014, 09:24:58 PM

Negatives of exercising...

Soreness
Injury
Time not doing something else, like keeping my place organized/clean or practicing
Feeling of calendar time passing (months) faster, while having less time during the days, but being more relaxed.
Laundry... Always having to wash sweaty exercise clothes.

Calendar time.  That's another one.  It was just summer a little while ago... Now it's December and year's almost over.

I suppose something along the lines of exercising late at night when you have no energy and it's effort to anything.  Fizzling.   Vs. exercising earlier and seeing the same effect on music practice.  There's never enough time.

Adding...
Little dogs that nip at your ankles when you run by.  I'd use them (the little dogs) as hurdles but if I trip by entire body weight might come down on them.  Although they do nip and I'm on a public space... They might accidentally run into my foot next time.

*Bob considers that those could have been miniature dingos....*  I didn't check.  It was dark.   *Bob googles.*  Wow, they could have been... That bark sounds the same.    ::)   As opposed to other little "please step on me" dogs.  :P

Actually, I think ONLY in the US. Maybe Canada, but that's almost the same thing.

I was wondering about that.  One user starts deleting all their posts.  And another user is doing that same thing at the same time?  Kind of funny if another user does the same thing.  Could it be that it's the same person for both?

The screwy thing is how much effort someone would have to put into several profiles.  If they've got time to delete all the posts from one profile, they've got time to keep up more than one profile.

That could be the point though.  Two profiles that argument with each other.  Create some drama.  Get attention.  I have wondered why some users would really attack a post by someone now and then.

Doesn't really matter.  Strange stuff.  The more attention it gets, the more that behavior gets fed.

That it's Saturday and how I looked at the clock read it as being 2-3 hours later, figured I get up earlier for a Saturday, was eating breakfast, looked at the clock, and realized it's now, 2-3 hours earlier than I expected.

I woke up at the normal time for work essentially.  On a Saturday.   I would have slept another few hours or half the day even possibly.

First World problem.

You know someone, someday is going to make a movie out of North Korea hacking into Hollywood and the aftermath.  The event probably isn't finished yet.

Doesn't it sound like the plot for a movie?  Could be something dramatic, could be something comedic and stupid.  Could have some Wag the Dog element for making a movie about North Korea.  The hacking part could be suspense.  And then... we'll see.

That's got a couple of a plotlines there.

Procrastination.

In this case, I think the project is bigger than the time, but I can still get some piece of the project done in that time.  My brain is just saying it's a lot of work, it won't get done... so why not take a break while I can?

There's something amusing about the 12,000th post being about procrastinating....

It's funny how it builds up.  Even doing one little task sounds like a big job.

So I should take a break now... while I can.  Haha.  I'll get to that in a few minutes....

Yep.  More work than I thought.

Plus... Add a little perfection, or doing more than I originally planned so I get through less.

And add some change.  Things are different and will take more effort.

Solutions...
Just go through one part.  Break it into pieces.
Possibly set a time per part.
Do less but over more calendar time.
Possibly bump something else out to create more time.

If there still was a hoaxer on the site... After getting caught several times, they'd probably be a lot better hiding now.

I still have a feeling they're here...

But it really wouldn't matter, a vague personality that doesn't much attention on here.

Sounds like a huge waste of time and energy really.

More so in that I would think some of this actually just looked and sounded like this.  I would think they've got music playing in the background at the actual filming, but for something it must have been a few shots without music.

It actually makes it look fairly... normal... and normal/stupid.

Which probably means you could take normal life, stick a "cool" song/soundtrack to it, and make normal look much, much cooler.

Signed into an old email account I used for online forums, including this one at one point....  All the yahoo style forums have been overrun with spam.  Sad.

Ran across a performance group from college... still playing at a local place.  During college it made sense.  It was a performance opportunity.  Now, years later... They look older.  Kind of look stagnant.  Also sad.

Save time. Give up on whole years, decades even, in advance. Then you don't have to worry about it.

I don't understand. Ever since I started abusing my body with excessive amounts of alcohol, I started getting better at piano. Like, every time I drink and feel happy, the next day I have an amazing practice and make tons of progress. If I party at least once a week, I make tons of progress. It's ridiculous!  8) I just had a great practice and am drinking a vodka mixed drink. I am also going to go get some Chinese food. What else could be more meaningful than this?!!

There's something interesting here with stage presence and not being rushed.

Some of it's an act.  But when the guy finally starts singing, he's ready.

And there's the audience reaction.  In this clip, they finally do quiet down a bit, and because the guy's waiting on them.  (An audience of parents probably won't ever quiet down like that.)

And there's a bit of the John Cage 433 element here.

How many performances have you been to where the performer or the conductor walks out quickly and immediately starts performing?  It's past 4 minutes into the clips and he still hasn't started.  Although if it was regular performance, a lot could be prepped in advance, like the mic.

There's still something interesting about it though.  Maybe it's because by the time he does start to singing, you're ears are ready for it.  It's generating an expectation.

Some of the other videos have that waiting cut out.  I think that's part of his whole act though.
