Not eating yet, but in the process of preparation--slow cooked stuffed with garlic pork loin with crimini mushrooms and fennel bulb, in a white wine/honey souce.

I love making that (and eating it) but have never added the fennel bulb and wine/honey sauce. Sounds like a good addition!

I just had an omlette with ham, scallions, tomatoes and cheese with hash browns and two pieces of bacon. I will not need to eat again today.  Grin

Well, the pork roast and omlette sure beats my sorry lunch of left-over mahi mahi kebab.  Tongue

Pita Pit: Buffalo Chicken.  Delicious, low in calories, high in fiber, but expensive.

Well, given the high number of the diet that you mention, you can at least take heart in the likely fact that this one will last no longer than any of the others (and just as well by the sound of it)...

Best,

Alistair

1.  Ice cubes (about 10)
2.  One cup of plain soy milk (it could be any kind though)
3.  Chocolate flavored protein/vitamin/mineral powder (it's actually yummy)
4.  Some sprinkles of cinnamon
5.  A small handful of almonds (10 ?)
6.  About a tablespoon (maybe more) of chunky peanut butter.

BLEND ! mmmmmmmm

Oh !  And, it can be *so* good with a little banana, too Smiley

All of a sudden I'm beginning to wish that I hadn't asked! No, I'm sure that you enjoy it (it certainly sounds as though you do), but I have to admit that I really couldn't face such a concoction, since all its ingredients other than the cinnamon and the ice turn me off completely! I do occasionally make fruit smoothies, usually with raspberries, blackberries, a few blueberries and cranberries with a little fresh lemon juice (I also use loganberries and boysenberries or tayberries if I can ever get them), but that's about all the exercise that my juicer gets...

Best,

Alistair

Fruit smoothies are *okay* for me (some better than others), often times a little bit too much concentrated flavor and acid from the fruits for me (though I love the individual ingredients) -- though if some yogurt or milk is mixed in that can make things nice.

Yes, indeed- but one that I can happily live with!...

Yogurt (yoghourt as they tend to spell it over here) is something I just cannot take neat or mixed into drinks, although I tend not to mind it in cooking as a rule. Of course one nice thing to do with a fruit smoothie on occasion (provided that all the "bits" - even the smallest ones - are completely filtered out first), is top it up with a nice méthode champenoise fizz (real champagne would be a tad extravagant for this exercise)...

Best,

Alistair

Just finished a turkey sub with a side of pretzels.  I'm about to have some coconut pineapple ice cream but I'm thinking I should save that for later.

A few pretzels with hummus, washed down with a Mike's Hard Lemonade.  Drank it a bit too fast because now I'm feeling a slight buzz.

I am not a big drinker at all but I really do enjoy these, especially the Light Cranberry lemonade.
