Irmler Upright Pianos

Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences of Irmler pianos?
I've put a deposit on one as that was the one I liked best in the shop in my price range (I had a go on a few Yamahas and Kembles) but the Irmler was the one I liked.
But now I'm not so sure as the others have better names and I've heard Irmlers may be made in China, although I believe the one I've ordered is made in Poland.
Is it just cold feet?

Well, a quick search on the internet reveals that Irmler is part of Blüthner. Irmler started in the 1800's. Factory bombed during WWII. Production started again, in Eastern Germany. After a few years the family fled to the west and the company apparently disappeared. Taken up again in 1999, but I suppose this is a sort of 'buying the rights to the name' thing. On Blüthner's home page it says that there are 'Asian and European factories'.
Read it yourself!

Better names? No. Irmler is a great name. You said yourself you liked it the best--others like them too--they have a good reputation.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm a bit happier now and will be sticking to my original decision. Just need to make sure they can guarantee delivery before Christmas.

I am curious, where are you located? Not a solid reference for the uprights, but I have an Irmler grand (made in 2002, bought it new in 2003) and I am super happy with it. I got mine from Pianocraft, in Gaithersburg, Maryland (USA). They made some extensive constumization, so I really don't know how they come out of the box.
This I can tell you, though: I would not trade it for an Steinway C.
Once you get it, post something in the audition room so that we can hear it!
Merry Christmas.
P.S., If you are in Europe, and your Irmler was made in Poland, it may say Irmler Europe in the fallboard. My Irmler was made in Poland too, although the fallboard only says Irmler.

Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.

Well, after trying out quite a few different pianos I finally plumped for the Irmler.
It was delivered yesterday and I couldn't be happier with it. It sounds as good as it did in the shop and I love the feel of it.
I still have to pinch myself that I actually own a real piano!!
