I've got a week or so free in Austria and I was wondering if anyone knew any good teachers that would be worth getting in contact with over there?
thanks

you're probably over 16 - so this might not be help - but you can study with four teachers through 'vienna international pianist'  summer program

www.programs2.studyabroad.com/Summer/Austria.html  (scroll down to 'Vienna International Pianist')

maybe they'll make an exception.  that's one way to find a teacher - to be able to try out several.

another site i found:  www.iesabroad.org/opencms/IESAbroad/home.html

you probably already found these.  those two and also the summer acadamy (mozart something ur other)  with e-mail to [email protected]

I have been in Vienna, Austria. It was a wonderful trip. THE city for a classical musician. Every evening there are concerts in the city, you can visit Mozart's house, Haydn's house, many museums,...
You will enjoy this holliday ;)

Well, I lived there for the first 9 years of my life, but apart from that, I can't really recommend anyone! I suppose Badura-Skoda doesn't teach privately any more... although I saw a masterclass with him a few months ago.
