Anyone played Avner Dorman music?
on: March 21, 2007, 03:43:53 AM
Hello guys,

I found this composer in the 21st century section of Naxos and listened to the CD featuring his Piano Sonatas 1-3 / Moments Musicaux / Azerbaijani Dance.

I particularly like the first sonata and the Azerbaijani Dance. I read that Dorman studied composition with John Corigliano and can definitely hear some of that influence in his music.

Most of his music is only available for hire, but I'm wondering if anyone has played anything by him.
