Sticky, sticky locked topics???

What is a sticky topic? Is this referring to the "content" of the post, meaning it may be "offensive"? If so, what is a locked topic, and why would a topic get locked?
Just wondering?

Thanks

Sticky topic means the moderator will make it "stick" at the top of the forum page.  It does not need to be 'bumped' up to the top by replying.  An example is in the non piano forum board about the topic of Introductions.

A locked topic is a thread that is locked so that no new replies can be made.  You can view the thread, however, unless the moderator deletes the post.

You can tell by the icon on the left of the topic if it is locked or sticky.  I'm sure you can figure it out.
