well i will give those 6 steps thing a go and see how well i improve in months, and whether it is effective or not.. it may work for some, but not all.. :D is that how you learnt your foundations?

That is how I relearned the foundations I was never taught.

I had problem progressing at a good pace, practicing pieces was becoming taxing, I develop carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic tendonitis, tenosinuvitis and epicondilitis and had to stop playing for 6 months. Learning that the majority of pianists pass through this unecessary struggles and pains I chose to build a foundation mixing the concepts of
Abby Witheside, Thomas Mark, Dorothy Taubman, Robert Fink ...

... in other words the "literature on reabilitation"

After such work playing piano became easy and effortless even complex pieces that many pianists play as in a struggle with themselves grinding the teeth and sweating, speed has never been a problem anymore and I never suffered any sort of mental exhaustation or physical pain anymore. My sound improved a lot and I could play with much more emotionally and musically cause the basic motions were set once and for all and something to worry anymore.

WOW!! ok, definately need a teacher, there is no way i willbe able to do those perfectly or in a correct manner without any guidance or correction.. damn.. for some reason i find parallel motion easier than the other one... (cant remember name of it) the opposite direction one.

Contrary motion...but parallel motion involves contrary motion...

My old piano teacher told me a story about going to the apartment of violinist Jascha Heifetz to rehearse with him for an up coming concert tour. As he approached the door he heard violin music. The piece was the Beethoven violin concerto being practiced at about half speed. He waited at the door because he thought that Heifetz was giving a lesson to one of his violin students.

Suddenly the door opened and Heifetz commented   “You are late!!”   My piano teacher looked around the room, but there was nobody else there. Heifetz at that time must have already played the Beethoven concerto in public at least 300 times.

The professionals know the value of going back to the basics.
