Here are the inventions 11, 12, 13 and 14. I´m not completely happy with them, tehy are a work in progress to, specialy 12, which need to be speed up a little yet. Please ignore minor slips!   Smiley

xx Bach - Invention 13
August 19, 2006, 04:47:11 PM by chadefa1

Dear all,

I am now learning Bach's invention 13, but my left hand seems to suffer from what I believe is a wrong fingering. Take for example the first bar, left hand. The motif starts (E-A-C-B-E-B-D-C), echoing that of the right hand. Now, what fingering should I choose for this part in the left hand? So far, I have been using 5-2-1-2, and 5-2-1-2 again, which makes it awkward. Is there a better way to do it?

 Thank you!

xx Fingerings, Invention 13
February 21, 2003, 07:49:36 AM by Garrett_Smith

I'd like to get some fingerings, please.

I'm working on invention 13 and I know I'm playing it wrong. I am frustrated because I want to play well, but I don't know how. I'll never get it right by guessing Sad

I'm looking for an online resource, rather than an expensive book or lessons which I cannot afford. I don't have money.

I'd like to learn the fingerings for a few pieces and then study about how to make decisions of which fingers to use.

I'm working on Hanon exercises and an exercise of my own divise.

My exercise is playing all inversions of triads up and down (e.g. C, C6 (E, G, C), C 4/2 (G, C, E), C, C6, then D-, then E-, et c.). This is performed with accuracy and fluidity at 40bpm.
