Bach p+f in E, Scriabin etude op.8 no.2 (audition recording) December 28, 2007, 02:35:14 PM by schubertiad

Here are the first couple of pieces for my audition: I'm reasonably happy with these recordings i made today (is the bach prelude too boring???) and thankfully they were all single-takes. I do have time to make new recordings, so i'd appreciate any comments or advice in case i decide to redo. My other pieces (a chopin study, a haydn sonata and a poulenc piece) i'll post up as soon as i've done them. Anyway, enjoy! Schubertiad

Here is Scriabin's etude op.8 no.2, which i'm preparing for music school auditions next feb. Any comments and advice welcomed. Sorry about the low volume of the recording, you'll have to turn up your speakers.

Question Concerining Timing in Scriabin Etude Op.8 No.2 :\ August 02, 2007, 01:56:49 AM by mekohler
|
I'm at a loss as to the coordination between the LH and RH for this piece. For example, take a look at measure 3. The RH has 4 sets of notes that are connected, and the LH has four sets of notes as well. Does this mean that the first set of the LH and RH should start and finish at the same time, and then the 2nd set commences, and etc...or what?
Else the right hand has 20 16th notes, and the left hand has 22 16ths, so nothing would rly match up or alternate nicely. T Forgive my ignorance :\ and lame terminology. Any help?
