Don't think I've ever posted any recordings on here before.

This is my favourite of the first book of Debussy Preludes- "what the west wind saw".

Any comments welcome. Also, I will be recording some more of the preludes now I have something that actually works   :-\ if there are any you particularly want me to post, let me know.

Student's Corner: Ce qu'a vu le vent d'ouest help by mrdaveux
OK, so I'm practising Debussy's 7th prelude. Not too bad so far, but in the middle starts that section with repeated notes (like C in LH alternating with D in RH) that have to be staccato and moderately fast, and then some melody notes kick in...

I'm having trouble figure out which is the best motion to get this right at tempo. If I use finger motion only, no way I can get it to speed, if I use wrist bouncing, I am not even and it gets messy. Forearm staccato (like pedalling kind of movement) is what gives me the best control, but I get tired really soon if I do it fast...

Anybody has played that part ? Any suggestion ? Thanks.
