Robert Schumann - Morning Songs

These five miniatures are the very last solo piano pieces that Schumann managed to put to paper before his mental and emotional breakdown in the beginning of 1854.
Clara Schumann described them in her private diary as "dawn-songs, very original as always but hard to understand, their tone is so very strange."
