Johannes Brahms - Piano Studies

Brahms made some valuable studies in technique, based on various well-known Baroque and early Romantic works. Their main common feature, with the exception of the Chopin study, is the emphasis on the left hand.
The model pieces are Schubertâs Impromptu Op. 90 no 2; Chopinâs Ãtude Opus 25 no. 2;
C. M. von Weberâs Finale from Piano Sonata no 1; J. S. Bachâs Presto from the G-minor Sonata for solo violin and Chaconne from the D-minor Partita for solo violin.
