Johann Sebastian Bach
Miscellaneous Suites
About Johann Sebastian Bach's Miscellaneous Suites
Bach wrote a number of suites – works with multiple movements in dance forms – for keyboard. In addition to the well-known French Suites, English Suites, and Partitas, there are a few unrelated suites, which were mainly written during his youth. A few of the pieces in this collection have given rise to doubts about whether they are truly by Bach or copies of works by other unknown composers due to inconsistencies in style. This includes BWV 821, BWV 823, and the youthful and possibly spurious BWV 832-833.
