Ferdinand Beyer
German composer and pianist, who was well known as a composer of light music, and for his piano arrangements of popular orchestral works.
His piano method Vorschule im Klavierspiel Op. 101 has been widely used, not least in Japan and Korea, after the American music educator L.W. Mason brought it there in 1880. It contains 106 pieces for complete beginners, arranged in order of increasing difficulty.
