Scriabin op.45 transcription
on: August 08, 2005, 10:17:15 PM
This is my chamber music transcription of Scriabin's Three Pieces op. 45 for piano. The transcription is for flute, clarinet, viola, and harp.

The first piece, Feuillet d'album, is one of Scriabin's most beautiful pieces, but it is difficult to voice properly on a piano. The second, Poeme Fantasque is one of Scriabin's oddest and also his shortest piece with an unusual ending. The final one in the set, Prelude, has a slightly melancholy character and is typically Scriabinesque.

I changed the music slightly in some parts, for instrumentation reasons and also in some places to help clarify the voice leading.

Anyways, tell me what you think of the pieces and of my transcription! Hopefully, I can get a live performance of this once school starts up again.

A. Scriabin op.45, 3 pieces
I. Feuillet d'album
II. Poeme Fantasque
III. Prelude
