Ghosts from the past - a medley c1967
on: September 26, 2005, 11:27:39 AM
I have found an old tape of me recorded sometime in 1967-1970. I wrote and improvised a lot of this sort of stuff then. It's single channel and the quality is  not good but I had to get rid of unwanted reel tape tracks on cassette and spend an hour farting about editing files so I'm getting tired now. At least it shows a musical facet of me as I was in my late teens.

In order of playing, the pieces are, I think (I still have my scores, I did actually write most of this out)

"Striptease Accompaniment"
"Pretty Barbara"
"Auntie Nellie's Stomp"
"Cigar Tin Stomp"
"Funeral Stomp"
"Big Daddy's Blues"

"Mistakes are the portals of discovery." - James Joyce
