brahms 2nd concerto - work in progress, advice welcome

hey guys,

i'm working since about 6 weeks on the 2nd concerto by Brahms. This is the first recording of the opening movement, it still contains wrong notes and some unbalanced tempi and dynamics. But while this piece is so huge I need to take enough distance, so this is my first view from outside. Comments are very welkom!!

Very impressive, especially for a mere 6 weeks of practice.  And good luck with the treacherous 2nd movement of this Titanic masterpiece.

amazed at your learning speed, very smart and talented learner, I can sense and hear the brahms fire and sensibility in the very correct style wich very seldom comes in just 6 weeks......excellent work

Thx for all the encouragements!! I'm now working on the 4th movement and this is really tough :-)...how do you guys play that impossible thirds-scale up? Anyone uses the cheat-ossia?

I played some Brahms chamberworks, the 3 violinsonata's, 2 pianotrio's and the cellosonata...Maybe I should read some klavierstucke as well, to get the brahms solo style better in my head...
