Taken yesterday in a small concert hall in Den Helder, on a Bösendorfer grand.

Enjoy!

nice control, man.  I tend to make more noise than you, and when I realize how much noise I'm making, I make even more, so that the following silence is absolutely deafening

I played this piece in concert on June 10 as well! (wow what are the odds?)  It was recorded on DVD camcorder by a parent of another performer, and I hope to be able to post it soon. (as soon as I get a copy of it from the parent and figure out how to upload to internet)

while you were playing, that girl in the front row kept looking back at something and smiling... maybe she has a thing for you

More noise wasn't really possible without getting dwzeeeioeeng sounds from the snares in the piano :'(

The girl in the front with the black thing in her hair is butt ugly though :(

wow. very pianistically played, very nice contrasts and surprising elements. I liked very much when you came to the allegro moderato part, the way you brought out the theme was superb. well done, again :)

vlademir horowitz has an amazing opening with the tempo being fairly controlled and no space between the first note and the rest.  a sort of wave-like feel but, very softly starting   - and it contrasts with the rh when it comes in.  almost like - u have a background stage and the rh is the actor who comes out and starts doing things.

i played this a very long time ago - and think that it was one of the hardest pieces i ever learned.  all u need to do is fine tune it, now.

if u can get a different 'sound' from the calm, placid places - it would be good.  otherwise u'll have a similar touch in both and it gets boring.  those girls didn't know why they were reacting at those times.  u have to pull the audience in - and make it so noone turns around.  even ditzy blonds.  heading for ONE spot in the piece and not too many (with too much rubato).  sort of a tiered effect where u really blow them away at the spots u plan to - but get there fairly quickly.

i sort of hear those etherial moments as happening right above the piano.  the other parts could be imagined as 'below the piano.'  this is a really trancendental piece because it carries the audience into an imaginary scene and u have to keep it from pausing too much between 'sections.'
