very nice playing.
Some parts mabye a bit fast for me, but others may disagree.
I loved the legato kind of section, you controlled it well!
i dont normally like prokofiev much but youve converted me on this piece, i didnt hear many mistakes at all!
The one thing i dont like about the sonata is some of the chords he uses are a bit heavy and clashy but still you played it wonderfully, but im sure youll get other people on this forum write paragraphs and paragraphs about it

Thanks for both the comments. I agree PianoChild about the tempo. And yes, Jake,
you are right, I do have a lot of work to do. After listening to it, I've gone page by page and made a list of things (including technique and interpretation) that need to be worked on. I do think I did find one or two measures that were okay, though.

Yes, your performance actually has a nice flow to it, but there are so many technical lapses and weak moments, that you really are going to have to go over it slowly and carefully.

The intro need some pedalling and you need to somehow bash the notes out.
What grade is this piece anyway

Bach - Partita No.2
Scriabin - Etude 8/12
Debussy - L'isle Joyeuse
Liszt - Un Sospiro
Goal:
Prokofiev - Toccata

Grade 1 -
Actually, I don't know what grade. I'm in the U.S. and things are not as systematic here as they are where you are (I'm assuming that you're in the UK)

ABRSM system it's the LRSM diploma... here in Canada it's the ARCT, which is the highest level.
