This song was one of four “Golden Oldies of America” requested from audience. I played it in "Glenn Gould Concert Studio" of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation CBC on  October 20. 2006. It is my own arrangement and I am the only owner of this recording, it does not belong to CBC.

As an extra precaution,
CBC deducted Author-Royalties from my proceeds for tickets sold, because I used some copy-righted themes for my improvisations.

I would normally gawk at my way and fur eliese (can't even spell the name right) due mainly to my snobbery (cough cough).

But thanks for putting up "simple" pieces like these and show us what artistry is all about.  Both are beautifully refined in every respect, I really enjoyed them.

You did a fantastic job!  It sounds very much like the kind of transcription Earl Wild would do.  I bet you play a mean Rachmaninoff too.

If I were to play 'My Way' my way, ( :)) I would try to build up to some repeated octaves, like in Liszt's transcription of Wagner's
"Liebestod" from Tristan and Isolde.  I would do it such that it would have that "IIIIII DID IT......  MMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY" real big-like, like in that viagra commercial, and then end quietly using lots of major 2nd chords.

But at the same time, I think playing my way my way might make it sadder and cheaper than it's supposed to be.  I like the way you do my way, with charm and integrity.

I truly loved that.....bravo bravo....encore....encore.  Ummmmm....where could I pick up the sheet music version of that.  I would love to work on that piece and add it to my repetoire.

Excellent. Your harmonic language is highly developed, it's a bit like early (Opp. 1-12) Prokofiev but to improvise on request in this style commands respect. I would like to hear more...

I would like to learn: how can I print notes on computer, e-mail and post them. I will appreciate any advice and will repay it in posting of notes.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
