Rachmaninoff 2nd Concerto Op. 18 II. Adagio Sostenuto
on: November 22, 2006, 02:10:52 AM
This is a performance with the ASU Sinfonietta one year ago TODAY!
Interesting factoid on this performance... I was backstage waiting until my time to perform (end of first half), and the room was cold and my hands were getting even colder, so I found a couch and sat on my hands to warm them up. When it was time to perform, I walked on stage (prob about 1k people there) and COULDN'T FEEL MY HANDS AT ALL! For the first 4-5 minutes of this movement, I was guessing at a lot of the touch and everything. It's a good thing this started out slow and soft, or I probably wouldn't have sounded good at all!
HAHA how's that for a "nervous before performance" story?!!
Anyway, let me know what you think of this.
