I think it shows promise.  Rhythm and tempo are good, you also show good instincts with dynamics. The biggest problem is articulation. Try practicing the bits you garble in the Prelude very slowly and legato. When you're very comfortable, play it faster non-legato.

I'll listen to the Allemande later.

i love this english suite..

you seem to have the prelude under control, all you have left to do is iron out the inconsistent parts. i agree also with the articulation comment above. enjoyed the gigue, would suggest a little more dynamic changes for impetus

i liked it!

good points!  thanks!  on my digital it is hard to express the same as my acoustic piano.  someday!  if it is possible - i will record on my other piano.  but, i do need to 'shade' the gigue.

are you kidding.  i'm light years away from him!  but, you know what.  that is the best compliment i've ever gotten.  i happen to love the guy.  so much passion even though it is hidden in the mozart through the phrasing and turns and stuff.  he is a passionate sexy guy even if he does seem geeky.  i mean - just to hear the way he plays mozart.  i could listen to him play all day.

i should go and get it.  i think my teacher let me borrow a CD which had the suite on it.  perhaps it was that - the entire english suites.

that reminds me - i'm starting to think i should copy my teacher on that one, too.  to have a recording library which students can check out a CD for a week.  even if it is something they aren't playing.  it was very enlightening to hear him for the very first time!
