Styx - Improv
on: February 06, 2007, 11:39:47 AM
This is dark. Styx, the river between life and death. It is a part of a long journey... :P Sort of related to my "Dies Irae", but more radical.
A bit long, but I hope you will enjoy though :)

Wow, that is dark...   :o

But you know what?
I LOVE IT!

I really like the way you built it up right around 2:45  and 9:30, I live for music like that!  ;D  I don't think it is too long at all, it really draws you in, and makes gasp for air at a couple points...  Great intro, at several points it sounds like, well, flowing water, dark water...  MWHAHAHA  *cough*

Improv?!?!?!

Even more impressive!  Please post the rest of the journey!

RnB
I'm an optimist... but I don't think it's helping...

Wow thank you very much, Rn'B! That are really great compliments! I can assure you that it was an improv. Nothing prepared, spontaneous. Well that means not piano-specifically prepared. My thoughts about the subject or program were the preparation. And as for the journey (though in this case I meant mainly a journey of life), parts of it I have already posted on this board:

Awesome. Always love your stuff.  This one is particularly foreboding sounding. Keep it up! I'll add it to the list soon!
