Chopin Prélude B-Minor
on: February 28, 2007, 08:21:18 PM
This is a very spontaneous interpretation with just one play-through before. I hope you will like it

Perfect, i wounder if you still think like a cello player, the LH melody i gess would sound better on a cello.

I would love to play the melody on a cello.

I would love to play the melody on a cello.
Though you won't be able to play the low B on a cello because the lowest note a cello can play is a C 2. Ok you could tune it down a half step

Hi pianowolfi,
I like your recording of this Bm Prelude. You let it breathe. Some nice poetic effects too. I've attached my recording, not my best performance of this prelude, but OK. I think I make more of the rise and fall of the contour dynamics in the LH, which also adds a bit more intensity, whereas your rendition is more relaxed. But I also realize you did just one read-through before recording, and you likely would have refined that particular aspect more as well. Anyway, it's always fun to compare interpretations.

Although I do not know this piece (I don't listen to the preludes often), I really liked to listen to you. It is very evocative and you make it feel like it is right. Thanks, I liked it a lot.
