here's a one-file one-take recording, what do you think?

For me it felt to confinted within the pieces respected technical boundaries. Within limits I think you could improve it by loosening up your interpretation if you know what I mean. Other than that you showed great technical control of this piece. That prestissimo movement is no walk in the park. Keep it up :D

Thanks!  Not really sure what you mean other than to be more improvisatonal or something like that.  But, no time to change it now, recital coming up in a few days!  I just wanted to see if it was enjoyable, hopefully it was, at least to an extent.  thanks for the feedback!

...hmmm I think you cut the end of some slurred notes too abruptly, like in the E flat major section of the exposition...

...some of your staccatos are too short (or maybe it's the sound recording?) They are fine for the 3rd movt., but for the more lyrical sections with slower notes (e.g. 2nd movt.) it's not appropriate.

Also be careful that you play each and every single note...or at least don't make it sound like a blurb, like the first set of triplet notes in the 1st movt.

...to me, the highlight is the way you presented it - gutsy and powerful, but also lyrical when needed. Thanks for sharing! The audience should definitely be in for a treat!

My teacher once said that technique begins in the ear and what you hear. I think you could improve it by just listening through the longer notes in the 1st mvmt more, as well as the cadences in the last mvmt. It has a sort of flat feeling about. Like, technically you seem have most of it under control, but musically you can do a lot more with it. It felt a bit tentative at times in those two mvmts also. Try maybe using more pedal, phrase more, and just listen through. I don't mean to be discouraging, its a very difficult piece in its entirety, and I recognize the technical feat.

That's very useful feedback, thanks everyone!  I think maybe the flatness or amusicality of the performance can be partially attributed to the digital piano and low reverb settings, but I don't want to diminish your input.  I'll take it into consideration and see if I can do better in the live performance!  Thanks very much for listening to the long piece.
