Beginning of Debussy Arabesque #1
on: July 16, 2008, 06:51:56 AM
A bit hackneyed, but what the hey.
There is a fairly major hiccup in the first two measures that I am aware of, but am too lazy to rerecord.
Only unkind words, please. They are the most useful.

I think by moments it was a bit too slow we lost the flow of the music. Also I do not hear any feel for the harmonic progressions. Different harmonies have different meanings and different degrees of tension, but you play them all equally the same way. You should also watch out you do your rubato in some places. Sometimes your end of phrases are a bit banal, the resolutions are barely noticed, but that still is an harmonic progression problem. Overall great job! Congratulations.
