haha seeing alot of people posting midis, i thought i might do the same.

i don't actually believe its playable (without alot of hand switching) i'll even post the score for anyone who wants to attempt it!!! (if its worthy of an attempt that is)

so here we go. My first attempt at a "ground bass" assessment. needless to say, it didn't make the cut :D guess i forgot what "ground bass" means.

Hey that sounds pretty good Dazzer. Its longer and more detailed than my attempt at a fugue...then again I didn't work terribly hard at it...

Well it sounds all right to me too, Dazzer, regardless of what it is. Call it a fugato and then nobody can argue about it. Let's hear more of your contrapuntal pieces.

Wow that was brilliant. I think composing a fugue is one of the hardest things to compose ever....

You really did some good work here dude

good fugues are hard, but just a fugue isn't too bad. They have such a strict form that they can be written out pretty quickly.

Not really.

Very impressive stuff, Dazzer. Nice job!

I'd be interested to see if you yourself can work out if it's playable, and fix what could be any really awkward places. Doesn't mean you have to be able to play it yourself, of course. But I'd guess that part of the art of writing a fugue (or fugato, semantics fans!) is that it should be playable. Maybe Koji could play it as is, but the composer should know for sure if it's realizable, no?

Keep it up,
Goose
