I notice that you take the 3'53 mark (typically regarded as the climax of the piece) with much more zeal than even Cage himself. The mosquito buzzing in the background like that nearly brought me to my knees. I played it 10 times consecutively after that, and have since vowed never to even look at the piece because I would never match up to such an excellent conception of it.

Some more tragedy in the middle movement would be nice (only one audience member broke out into tears), but the end of the first movement was VERY strong - I never thought to slam the lid down so hard - makes for a jarring effect. And you're certainly skilled enough to play the finale for all its worth. Great job!

great piece...... I play it all the time. At the stroke of midnight, I play it 316 times non-stop.  I then take a two minute and twelve second rest before beginning the cycle all over again at midnight.

My only, miniscule, needling, tiny, criticism is that the dynamic range throughout the piece seemed a little flat.  Perhaps it was the recording medium though?  Or maybe a newbie recording engineer?  A piece of this stature really requires someone with a masterful touch at the faders.  Again, a tiny nitpick.  The interpretation shines through regardless.
