There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

I think your ear is telling you to get the Seiler. Seiler uprights are great sounding and proably less expensive than the Sauter. Of course the Sauters are excellent as well. I would caution about having high expectations of having the piano's tone changed once you get it home. You may be disappointed in the result. Bottomline is that you can't go wrong with either highly regarded instrument so just go with the one you like the best.

I bought a seiler upright...which model are you thinking of??
I absolutely love it, but my piano teacher's second piano is a sauter, it's really good too. I loved the seiler because it is a glowing tone, and an exciting sound in the extreme registers.
Please note that due to various reasons, the tone of my seiler changed over the 6 months at the beginning. The tone became a tad brighter, (well, noticably) and the bass bacame a little louder. I like it more now
In my opinion, I like the sound of the seiler better, but the touch of the sauter better. So you really need to decide which is more important...
Which models are we talking, I want to compare apples to apples here, I Got the primus.
