Sonata piano camp

I'm thinking of attending a session of the Sonata piano camp in Bennington, Vermont.  Does anyone have experience with this, and what was it like?

no.  what is a sonata piano camp?  is it for all ages?  i like piano camps.  (let's go everybody). 

*imagines everyone gets a slip of paper with a different sonata opus number of beethoven's.  then, everybody has to play their sonata (even if you get op. 111).  no matter how good or bad you play - you get lots of advice from others who have possibly played what you ahve attempted.  thus gleaning all kind of good stuff to take back home (fingerings, shadings, stories)

then, there's the late night coffee hour - where insomniacs get into more details and listen to the guru's.  i would lose sleep over a piano camp.  i secretly long to go to one.

Sonata is the name of the piano camp.  It started as a camp for kids named Sonatina.  They added the adult portion in 1979 (I think).  You spend 10 days there in the house, playing piano and learning from several teachers.  They offer theory sessions, monster piano concerts, master classes, etc.  They have a website called sonatina.com.

Meh. If you go to camp in Vermont, bring bug spray. Bring more than you think you'll need. You'll need it.

It's not outdoor camping; it's in a big house with 25 or so pianos! No mosquitos.

Again?  Tell us about it!  I have thought about trying to attend one also.  Dont' they offer them throughout the year?  I was thinking about fall.

Yes, they have several throughout the year. The original was the Autumn Sonata in October.
