I don't see your technique really suffering after a break. You'll still physically do things the same as when you last practiced, but maybe a few days just to get the arms back into the groove of things.
You could try mental practice:

I've been on-and-off learning mental practice for the times I can't be at a piano... Practicing a piece you've already figured out at the piano isn't too difficult, learning a new piece is very difficult and unless I have an instrument I can't test if I'm practicing the right thing physically. Memorizing the location of the notes visually at the keyboard without fingers isn't so bad, which would be a great skill to practice with just a score.
Whenever a piano is unavailable to me I'm also unable to get enough peace to do any kind of serious work (...I'm enjoying a vacation
). The benefit I get from my time away from the keys is motivational, absence makes the heart grow fonder. By the time I get back my head's swimming with ideas, plans and I'm eager to get back to work.

Indeed, sometimes a break can be golden for getting the creative juices flowing again.
