So I'm going to be playing a recital in April, and have decided the theme will be obscure composers. I'll be playing for a non-classical crowd, so I've tried to pick pieces that are pleasing to listen to. The program doesn't seem very creative though. Any thought or suggestions are appreciated.
Alkan- Barcarolle, Op.65
- 3rd movement from the Symphony
Godowsky- Etude No. 5
Scriabin- 4 Preludes from Op. 11
-Vers la Flamme ( to showcase his "mystical" period)
Rzewski- Selections from the People United variations (as may as I can learn before April)
Myself- 4 Preludes Op. 1
Any ideas of pieces I could add on? I don't want to play for more than an hour.
