Not a very good performance of Chopin Prelude Op. 28 No. 4:

 ::)

So not very good it was closed, by me, within seconds of hearing it. What is with those pauses? Does he have an incredibly slow foot? Or maybe it's a problem with his piano...

Alternatively, someone might've dotted the notes at the end of every bar as a joke, giving him the impression that they are to be played staccato.

Yeah, it's rather dull.. and for some reason there is almost no variation in the dynamic level throughout.

A much more interesting video of her (to my odd tastes at least) is

And I thought I was the only one with Thalberg videos on youtube. Grrr :p

I like the piece very much, but the way, Muraro is playing it, doesn't convince me.
It is a chaotic piece, yes, but I think, it should be played in a very serious and controlled way. Not in this jumping jack style, as Muraro is playing it.

Sorry, I don't understand, what you are asking. What does "based on" mean?

I think, the girl plays the Gnomenreigen really wonderful. When I hear it, I feel not sick at all :)

  He has playd it better, i doubt this was recorded in 1989, he looks younger, he would have been 86 on 1989. Anyway to be honest no one plays it better than Rubenstine.

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)
