New Chopin Etudes Comparative Difficulty Poll
on: April 04, 2006, 08:27:49 AM
There is only one clear result emerging from Poll IV (see Comparative Difficulty of the Chopin Etudes IV), namely that 25/8 should be placed next on the difficulty list (as it is described and commented on in the Comparative Difficulty Poll III).
In order to obtain more fine-grained discriminations for the remaining etudes, I slightly changed the procedure to the effect that every pianist has 3 votes for the Etudes she/he thinks are most difficult.
Please do not vote for an etude if you haven't played it. Also, ideally, participants should be familiar with most etudes in order to be able to draw meaningful comparisons.
