Rule two may be ambigious as I pointed out before. Rule number one surely isn't.
forgot about rule 2. well, i still like kapustin's chamber music and xenakis's electronic music.

Show me one.  I doubt you have the ingenuity to "Break rules" that Xenakis, Boulez, Ferneyhough, Stockhausen, Crumb, Penderecki and Nancarrow haven't.  I doubt you have the ingenuity of John Thompson.

Go on; show me.

Actually, I compose from the heart. I studied theory and harmony but I think that's best left in the classroom. Music is subjective anyway (in the ears of the beholder).

Since you requested it, here’s a piano solo from one of my CD’s. Oops, now I broke rule #1. But I do think this piece would be considered uncommon, or at least unknown.

great harmonies.  unusual middle section.  kind of seemed a blend of two styles for a minute - but that's ok.  you're a good improviser and composer.

Here's a piece of Johnny-Boy's that meets soliloquy’s requirements. It's non-piano and little known.

I do like Penderecki - Seven Gates of Jerusalem, though.

Me too! Penderecki rocks... (Well, not literarily...  ;) )

Another piece I really like is the Concerto de Arajunez, played on a trumpet instead of a guitar with Miles Davis...

I might think of more sometime later... Got to run now.

Maybe I'll leave the first one I posted up for soliloquy's dare.
