I just got the recording. The orchestra doesn't sound really good. I sound bad too actually, hahaha.  Actually, I think I should be more quiet in some part too. The brass section is not really good too. Especially at the end.  Horrible!!! :-[ The worst recording I've ever played. My gosh.
You can skip the first 2 minutes, I don't know how to cut that off. I start playing at 2.00.
Don't be hesitant to criticize.

Nice job!

I played this last year for orchestra... maybe I'll post a movement later from that performance... if I can procure the recording...  ;D

Overall it was a good performance... the orchestra is not up to your standards! ;)

I would mention a couple of things to keep in mind.  First, you seem to play this in sections, without too much regard to the larger picture.  The slow sections are a bit too slow, and the flow of the piece gets lost, then the fast sections are not proportionate -- the orchestra has a difficult time keeping up with the tempo changes.  It may be the piano, but the sound of the louder sections is a bit harsh in places (not all the time).  This piece requires all your heart, soul and body to play convincingly, and louder (if it is sheer force) does not make it better.

That said, it is a very good performance for someone 16 years old!  I didn't attempt this concerto until I was 20.  You have good technique on the fast sections (I know how hard those parts are).

Keep up the good work!

Josh

Very good piano playing, am 26 and i ,ve just started learning this Concerto , you seem to champion Rachmaninoff, judging by your interpretation of the prelude in G minor. Good luck.
