Flight of the Bumblebee is an orchestral piece, from Prince Igor (I think?) by Nikolai (sp?) Rimsky-Korsakof. There are many piano transcirptions, inc. by Liszt and Dohnyani (sp?). Some are much more difficult than others.

The main point of the piece is it's VERY very fast The upper-register chromatic figures at high speed evoke the turbulent, apian flight of a bee.

The best transcription is Rachmaninov's, but the hardest is Cziffra's,

I seem to be very confused, Liszt died before RK wrote Bumblebee...

Is there someone here that has 'le cygne' from Saint- Saëns arranged by Godowsky? And i'm also searching 'Melody, from Orphee et Eurydice' by C.W. Gluck and arranged by Sgambati? Can't find these pieces anywhere so i hope anyone from this forum knows where or how to get it..
