take anyone you can get and visit the marble mountains when you can. near rome somewhere if i heard right. there's some fairly young guy that creates marble statues almost as well as michelangelo.
you've never touched a marble statue in your life, have you? marble is a wonder. almost as nice as looking at a fazioli. i'm not crazy. you are. why go to italy thinking about piano. you could have an icie. you could sit in the fountains. you could - ride around ona motorcycle. you could pretend you were part of a tour. you could buy a villa. you could revamp it. believe me, an italian piano teacher is not what i'd be looking for. if i were single like you - i'd be just wandering around looking at things and bumping into people. italians love to talk. i think an italian piano teacher would be just too much for me anyway. i can barely take good looking men who speak english. i would just be staring with my mouth open and occasionally nodding.but, i'd sort of like to hear about that thalberg conservatory - and maybe what scarlatti looked like (you know - a pic of his statue). and, some editions in italian. all we have here is dover, right? there - they must have some kind of edition beyond the budapest. is this right? don't forget to pack a red shirt. buy some piano shoes over there. i hear that they are the best shoes in the world.
i can't.
(i've never touched a marble statue either. just marble countertops and once i saw a marble entryway. it was really beautiful).
