New LAng LAng cd
on: August 16, 2006, 09:37:50 PM
i just finished listening to his new album and i cant say anything else except its langish. Great as usual, i am fascinated by his skill in piano playing. He definitely plays piano better than other instruments, including saxophone. This is also great because Rahmanjinov was actually Russian and Lang is Chinese so piano becomes a multi-cultural instrument which connects our cultures and leaves us breathless.

I listened to his HR no. 2 when in plane. It was not absolute rubbish though. He does play some parts well, but his treatment of the Lassan part is very irritating. Sounds like he's not serious at all. Some parts in Friska is pretty ok. But overall, not my taste.
